Delicious - Revolutionizing Bookmarks

Monday, March 30, 2009

I joined Delicious October 7
th 2007 and currently harbor 489 bookmarks. The reason why I know the exact date is because the site keeps a log of each day and tag for each bookmark! I stumbled across this great tool while searching for interesting add-on to my wonderfully customizable Firefox browser. Each time a am at a page I like there is a tag button right next to my URL address! It is great to see how many people have bookmarked the same page and also what tags were used. My favorite is when I am the first one to add the page! Another great option is the ability to search the bookmarks of other uses via the tag associated with the page. I guess this is a plug for Delicious and Firefox but heck you should have them both if you are a computer, major web surfer, geek like me! Firefox Delicious Firefox Delicious Add On

Lament Los Angeles FreeFM 97.1 Frosty Heidi & Frank: UPDATE

Sunday, March 29, 2009

For all you old Frosty, Heidi & Frank (FH&F) radio show lovers here is an update from Frank Kramer's Myspace Blog.

Tuesday, March 24, 2009
Many of you are curious as to what happened at the meeting about a potential job.

Right now we can only drop our lines in the water with no bait. CBS still has our can of worms.

They have recently given us permission to start talking with other company's, and now it's up to my agent "BOB".

To keep myself busy, I am building a studio in my house. It will make doing FHFU a lot more convenient, and open up the possibilities of some original programming.

I would tell you more about them now, but I want it to be a surprise.

Late,

Frank

Kelly Bundy Quote of the Day!

Thursday, March 26, 2009

"L.A.!? We're going to Long Island!?"

Check out Christina Applegate in an new season of Samantha Who?

Home Business: The Travelling Vineyard

I typically cringe at the idea of selling Avon products, Amway, or Tupperware. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised while watching The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet today. During the at home sales opportunity segment a sales representative introduced a opportunity that brings the wine tasting event to the suburban (or city) living room. The Travelling Vineyard is a great sales opportunity for wine enthusiasts like me. There is a training process for new reps, and the starter kit is $175.

A few years back while working as a corporate recruiter, the women in the local branches of my company had a weekly wine club. There were several times where I tasted a great-bodied vino and instantly wanted to purchase a bottle. Now thanks to The Traveling Vineyard you can host your own wine parties, and make a profit! I think this trend just may last.

Breif Spirtiual Commentary (No offense intended)

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

As we all know, the world economy is not exactly doing well. Many of us are having to make numerous sacrifices that even 24 months ago we may not have even fathomed. Remember that if you feel down and out you are greatly loved by God. If you are an atheist you must trust that things can be better and sometimes at these times of turmoil, following our our goals and not giving up hope is truly the only thing we can do. Have faith! In God and/or in yourself. You are a human being, a magnificent creature designed for greatness. Whatever obstacle you face, I believe it is there for your personal growth. Of course my opinion may not apply to extreme situations, just know that I have overcome and still deal with many hurdles. That is life. However, now is the time to gain knowledge towards an overall good purpose. That could be a business, going to school, or just managing your anger better. If you ever feel unloved or insignificant just know that no one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, and YOU can change your attitude. Be grateful for what you do have, not what you don't. If anything you have yourself and your future. Peace! God bless!

Quote at midnight for the new day...

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

What recession? Kinky lingerie is still just as profitable!

Dow Jumps 500pts

Today the the Dow Jones closed at
7775.86 (up)+497.48‎ (6.84%‎) which means it jumped about 500 points if you don't understand how to read these stats. Since inverters were anticipating the Obama Administration's detailed proposals for public-private partnerships to deal with failed assets in the financial system. The question is will this sudden surge in purchasing will take the remainder of the week, or will it just be another fluke as it was weeks ago?

I think it is too quick for us to assume that the economy is bouncing back based on one positive day out of dozens of negative closings.
For many of us the stock market could be the furthest thing from our mind due to personal financial situations. But remember people, many of us know someone who has a large investment in a business 401k, or the very company thousands work for may have their entire business riding on how the markets preform. Growth int he market may mean avoiding laying of a businesses dedicated workers. In turn avoiding defalted morgages, and bills.

Unlike the past eight years of the horrid Bush Administration, success in the markets can and will trickle down to the middle class which is the foundation of America.

Today's Library Visit Spawned...

Still reading A Good and Happy Child by new author Justin Evans. Very frightening, I have a tendency to read it while basking in the sun light instead of in the bowels of midnight. I have only finished about a quarter of the novel so stay tuned to further comments and/or critiques.

NetFlix Review: Tamara..

Friday, March 20, 2009

Omg. The trials and tribulations of high school How I remember watching 'The Craft' with Rachel True, my high school obsession Fairuza Balk (also from Return to Oz) and the lovely yet random Neve Campbell. I just uncovered this movie from NetFlix and 'Tamera' totally reminded me of that great movie (and book) 'Carrie.' Not to be confused with the modern remake.

"This too shall past per," the English teacher. Ok the dialog in the movie may venture on the cheesy side via "sometimes love just ain't enough' coming from Tamera's father who looks like a 23 year old with a fake bald hair piece on

believe it or not i find myself now a Christian and i know the feeling of wanting to be accepted and frankly popular. and not popular because of resentment but because of truth. These sick teens tricked this girl to come and meet the teacher everyone knew she had a crush on. And then....OOPPPS! They kill her when she realizes she was set up. "I am not throwing my life away because of this loser. If we call keep our mouths she everyone think she ran away. No one has to know." Even those who were trying to be on her side decided to cover it up so they could get into college. Sick right?!? Yet very yuppie high school like. I can see plenty of my Pasadena peers during the teen years in this situation and not giving a damn just covering their own papered asses.

"We never talk about this. Ever!" now it is like "I Know What You Did Last Summer."
Tamera happens to be a witch from a long generation of the same. Yet it is still totally as if what would happen if Steven King's Carrie was killed in modern times...there would be REVENGE. THERE WOULD BE BLOOD!!!

All the guilt ridden spoiled teens return to school pretending nothing happened. Yet there is an empty seat, Tamara's seat. Then as the one girl with a conscious leaves the classroom in horror guess who arrives? A reborn, Hollywood makeover-ed Tamara. "Sorry I'm Late, rough weekend, almost died getting here." HAHAHAHA.

Then slowly and the new bombshell Tamara reemerges upon yuppie high school life she stocks and kills all those who wronged her. And rightfully so. I would say its a great movie but by the last 20mins I zoned out at 1 hour and 5 mins in (as i typaclly do) so I would give it a horror movie buff's B-, C+.

The film runs too long and I lost interest. lol.

What Netflix Sent:

Lets see... 'Tamara' a Carrie like movie...

'The Aviator' why on earth did I rent this? hmmm... because I am reading the biography on Ava Gardner and Howard Hughes asked her to marry him and she knocked his teeth out instead. A woman of my own heart! Joking.

'Hitman' - features the drug dealer I was in love with in my quintessential high school as an assisan from the video game of the same name. I am biased so I like it. His acting was bad. Moves were great. Sadly the russian whore was the best character.

Long Live Late Night

Far be it from me to ever rag on the great Late Night Comedians...and I do not just mean Jimmy Fallon and Conan O'Brien. I am looking forward to the new Jay Leno Project at 10pm...followed by Conan's Tonight Show....followed by Jimmy Fallon. Yes occasionally I venture to the Late Late show with Craig Ferguson, but rarely do I go to Letterman. Perhaps Letterman is does not interest me due to my old favorite morning radio personality Adam Corolla stating that Letterman was cold to his guests (and staff) as opposed to Leno.
Jimmy Kimmel is cool but now I am thinking their may just be room for 1 Jimmy in late night... but we will see the progression of ratings and guests over the next year.
I will say that at first I was hesitant for Jay to outshine Conan by having a 10pm time slot prior to the new Tonight Show but now I realize all have something comedic to offer to various demographics.
Perhaps we can return to the golden days where late night talk shows where where the hipsters found their classy pop culture new (ie Johnny Carson, Merv Griffin) due to these economic times. Networks have stated that funding 10pm hour long drams are extremely costly and recently have not been bringing in the advertisement revenue as 10 years ago. Now it seems we should sit back and enjoy the various shows at are disposal instead of a once a week campy drama that may say the word 'shit' every now and then.
